It seems to us not. Ridley builds a bike that masterfully combines these two aspects. Coincidence? We think not. With a gravel bike you can ride on any terrain, at your own pace. But why the name "Kanzo"?
Kanzo (or canzo) is a word that dates back to the times of the troubadours, who were the singers and poets of the Middle Ages. People who traveled a lot and had all sorts of adventures and then turned them into stories about knights, or even love stories. Upon returning to their village, they narrated their adventures to the inhabitants, and used three genres to tell their stories. The most used was the "Kanzo/Canzo". In doing so, they moved entire communities, people were hanging on every word that the troubadours said to them.
Like the troubadours, at Ridley we want to encourage cyclists to get out on their bikes. To discover new places or to rediscover others that they already thought they knew.
